General information

To receive, store and forward relief goods to operational areas during emergency situations.

To conduct a logistics analysis on the ground in view of providing services in order that other ERU service units (relief, basic health care, water and sanitation, referral hospital and telecommunications), particularly those requiring significant logistical support, can be deployed immediately upon arrival.

In compliance with International Federation standards, during an emergency operation the Logistics ERU implements all logistics processes and procedures in regard to tracking, transport, procurement, air operations, warehousing and planning,. Thereafter, it ensures that the logistical aspects and needs of the other ERUs are integrated into the International Federation’s and National Society’s logistics functions.
