Solar photovoltaic (PV) panel charge controllers for 12V or 24V batteries (automatic detection).
Typical applications: off-grid repeater site and small solar systems.
Victron BlueSolar Charge Controllers MPPT 100V/15A and MPPT 100V/30A.
MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracking) yields more energy from the PV panels than older PWM technology.
As MPPT contains a DC-DC-Converter, the PV panels input voltage to the charge controller can be much higher than the battery voltage (input up to 100 Volts).
With this higher voltage capacity, panels can be connected in series (instead of parallel) and longer, thinner cables from the panels to the charge controller are possible.
Configuration, monitoring and data logging is possible with via an App over Bluetooth.
Important: The charge regulator can only step down the higher voltage from the PV panels to battery voltage, meaning the panel voltage must be always higher than battery voltage.
