General information
Buffer pH 6.8 or pH 7.2: a tablet diluted in 1000ml of water.
- pH 6.8: used to dilute the Giemsa stain for haematological staining (blood smears).
 
- pH 7.2: used for blood parasitology (malaria smears).
 
 
Once diluted: the Giemsa solution should only be kept for a few hours.
 
Use pH strips to check the stability of the buffer solution.
