A full- or half-length apron-like garment intended to shield portions of the body (i.e., that of the operator, patient, or other attending person) from radiation exposure during medical procedures.

Radiation-shielding apron:
The device typically consists of a fluid-resistant outer covering encasing a thin sheet of lead (Pb) or lead-equivalent material.

The lead and rubber sheet are bound on all sides with special tape and can be wrapped around a patient according to need.
