Rapid construction latrines are useful when local resources in the field are not available
during the first phase of an emergency that requires the implementation of a large number of
toilets available to the beneficiaries.
The Rapid construction latrine is:
- Easy to assemble and requires no tools.
- Fully modular and can be supplied as single cubicles or blocks.
- Rapidly installed with no training needed.
- Economical, washable and completely UV stable materials.
- Rebuilt and dismantled several times, for example in different locations.
- Adapted to standard squatting plates 1.2m x 0.8m.
As an option, the rapid latrine can be raised and settled on the top of an isolation container to
store the feacal sludge.
