General information

Emergency Food ration bars are used by humanitarian organization and governmental agencies in the first phase of disaster relief operation before local foods can be distributed and prepared.

Emergency Food Ration bars are biscuits that are supplemented with a premix of vitamins and minerals. Ingredients are: Wheat Flour, Vegetable fat (palm), Soy protein, Sugar, Malted barley, Minerals and Vitamins. The product is an all-vegetable product containing no ingredients of animal origin.

Emergency Food ration participates to the covering of urgent needs in the acute phase of an emergency situation during which population is not able to cook due to a lack of access to basic facilities (clean water, cooking equipment). Their use is also extended to a complement food ration (use as snacks) to provide vitamins and minerals in regions/population where diet is subjected to nutritional deficiencies. Emergency food ration bar can also be used to prevent micronutrient deficiencies of young children.

Emergency Food ration bar are made of 2 tablets of 28g. There are 9 bars per pack of 500g and 24 packs /carton.

Emergency food ration bars can be eaten directly or as a porridge prepared by adding small amount of boiling water. To make it as a porridge, 200ml of boiling drinking water should be used per food bar.

The product can be stored in disaster preparedness stores. The shelf life of the product is 5 years.
