General information

Frame tent for a family of 5 persons, following the recommended minimum living area in hot and temperate climates (3.5m² per person), and providing additional space for cold climates. In cold climates, it is advisable to supply the “Kit, Improved insulation for winterization”.

This tent is heavier and more expensive as compared to the standard Family Tent. This tent is meant for situations where the standard Family Tent is not the appropriate answer, i.e. urban areas with restricted space to install tents.

This self-standing frame tent allows easy set up on hard surface, offers more inner volume, and requires fewer surface for erection, as compared to the standard Family Tent. Nevertheless, to assure a good wind resistance, the tent needs to be securely anchored to the ground with the provided guy ropes and pegs.

The symmetric flaps offer the possibility to join 2 tents together lengthwise to create larger units.

The tent is not a long-term habitat solution. It is meant for emergencies. It has a minimum 1-year lifespan, irrespective of climate.

It has a minimum shelf-life of 5 years under normal warehousing conditions (in a dry, clean and ventilated warehouse - not in containers or tented warehouses - and stored on pallet racks or pallets elevated off the ground, not piled). The tent is vulnerable to rain and moisture when packed.

This tent was developed by shelter specialists to guaranty a product fit for human use, in all climates, with appropriate outdoor life span, for a minimum cost.

  • Other types of tent or materials may have a shorter life span, or other faults impossible to identify without going through the complete quality validation process.
  • The validated manufacturers have had samples tested in laboratory and are subject to continuous quality control.
